Spyderco Byrd Meadowlark 2 Black Lockback Knife

The Spyderco Byrd Meadowlark 2 Black Lockback Knife is a compact Byrd lockback with a 2.9 in blade of 8Cr13MoV stainless steel. The satin finish and plain edge are easy to sharpen. Byrd is Spyderco's value line, built in China to Spyderco's designs and quality standards.

Spyderco's signature Round Hole lets you open the blade with one thumb, with or without gloves. The back lock is one of the strongest and simplest folding knife locks. To close the knife, press the rocker bar on the spine of the handle and fold the blade. The black FRN handle is light, grippy and resists moisture.

The knife is about 3.9 in closed and 6.85 in open, so it disappears in a pocket. A four-position stainless pocket clip lets you carry it tip-up or tip-down on either side. It is a good first Spyderco or an affordable everyday carry knife. More are in our lockback knives section.
