The Southco magnetic door and window holder keeps a cabin door or hatch open while the boat moves. It stops doors from swinging and slamming in a seaway, which breaks hinges and pinches fingers. The magnet catches on its own, faster than a hook and eye.

It is adjustable, so you can fine-tune the alignment and hold after it is installed. It mounts on the surface with no recess to cut. Stainless construction resists salt corrosion.

Mount the two halves where the door meets them squarely when open. Use stainless fasteners and seal the holes. Add one to every door and window that needs to stay open underway. Compare it with the rest of our mounting and rigging hardware.
