The SOG Terminus SJ has a 2.9-inch stonewashed D2 clip point blade and an olive drab G10 handle, held by a slip joint and opened with a nail nick.

A modern brand building a slip joint is a deliberate choice, since without a lock the knife falls outside carry restrictions that apply to locking folders in a good many places, and the pattern has come back into production. D2 is a semi-stainless tool steel that holds an edge far longer than the steels traditionally fitted to slip joints, so this gets modern cutting performance in a non-locking frame.
