The SOG Seal Pup has a 4.75-inch AUS-8 stainless clip point blade with a partially serrated edge in a hardcased black finish, a black glass reinforced nylon handle and a sheath.

Hardcasing is a coating process that penetrates the steel surface rather than layering over it, which makes it far more resistant to scratching through than a painted or powder finish. The Seal Pup is the smaller version of the knife SOG built for Navy SEAL testing, and the pattern earned its name by passing a punishing series of trials in the 1990s.
