A glance shows water temperature down to 0.01-degree resolution, precise enough to help locate a favorable temperature zone or spot a critical offshore temp break rather than just guessing. Front panel keys let the operator calibrate for slight differences between transducers, and adjustable high and low temperature alarms trigger an audible alert when the water crosses a threshold worth noticing. A temperature trend arrow shows at a glance whether the water's warming, cooling, or holding steady, and five selectable backlight levels keep the display readable in any onboard lighting.
