Shakespeare 20-Foot Extension Cable Kit - RG-8X

The Shakespeare 4078-20-ER is a 20 foot RG-8X extension cable kit for VHF, AIS and CB antennas. It uses Shakespeare's Easy Route FME mini end, which fits through small holes. The cable is white.

The coax between the antenna and radio can make or break signal quality. RG-8X has lower loss than thin RG-58 over the same run. Shakespeare builds its coax for marine communications and the boating environment.

An extension is the fix when the antenna sits farther from the radio than the original cable reaches. Keep connections clean and sealed against moisture. Check the available mounting space and surrounding hardware before installation so a correct part number does not turn into a clearance problem. Browse more marine antennas.
