Sea-Dog 3.5 lb Economy Folding Grapnel Anchor

Sea-Dog 's Economy Folding Anchor Kit has everything needed to start anchoring a small boat. It includes a 3.5 lb folding grapnel anchor, 20 feet of 3/16 inch line and a mesh storage bag. The anchor is hot-dipped galvanized iron with forged flukes. A folding grapnel is a good all-around anchor for rocky, weedy or mixed bottoms.

Galvanizing protects the iron against rust, and forged flukes hold their shape when they catch rock or debris on the bottom. The flukes fold flat against the shank for storage. Opened, they spread out to grab the bottom. At 3.5 lb, it's sized for small craft rather than larger boats.

The hole for the anchor rope is 1/2 inch. The mesh bag lets a wet anchor and line drain instead of puddling in a compartment. Let out enough line for at least three times the water depth. Browse more boat anchors.
