The Schrade Uncle Henry Golden Spike has a 5-inch stainless blade at 9.5 inches overall, a Staglon handle, a brass guard and pommel, and a leather sheath with a sharpening stone.
The sharpening stone in the sheath pocket is the detail worth knowing. It means the knife and the means to maintain it travel together, which matters on a hunting knife used away from a bench. Brass guard and pommel bracket the handle at both ends, and brass darkens with handling rather than staying bright.
At 5 inches the blade is longer than most hunting knives, putting it past field dressing and into camp and butchery work. Staglon is Schrade's molded imitation antler, giving the ridged look consistently where genuine stag varies in size and color. Explore more Hunting Knives.
