Description
The Rule 800 GPH Electronic Sensing Bilge Pump (12V) is a next-generation sensing bilge pump that works on the principle of impeller resistance. It is designed for boaters who want automatic bilge pumping with no float switch needed, in one of the smallest automatic pumps on the market.
The pump turns on every 2-1/2 minutes for about one second to sense for water; if water is present, it senses resistance and continues running until all water is removed, then resumes checking every 2-1/2 minutes. Water is kept in check between 1/8 and 3/8 inch, conserving power, with a hidden air vent check valve to prevent airlocking, true electromagnetic suppression (EMC), and a built-in thermal cell protecting the pump and vessel when things get too hot. Browse more options in our bilge and water pumps category.
Key Features: 800 GPH, 12V, electronic sensing (no float switch needed), completely automatic with manual override, stainless steel shaft, includes backflow preventer, submersible and ignition protected.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does this pump need a float switch? No, it senses water electronically through impeller resistance, with no float switch needed.
How does the sensing cycle work? The pump checks for water every 2-1/2 minutes for about one second, running continuously if water is detected.
What protects this pump from overheating? A built-in thermal cell that protects the pump and the vessel when things get too hot.
