Description
The Ruike D191 has a 4-inch stonewashed 8Cr13MoV stainless blade, a black G10 front handle with a stonewashed titanium back handle, an extended tang, a lanyard hole and a pocket clip, closing to 5 inches.
Mixing G10 on the show side with titanium on the lock side is a common way to get a frame lock without the weight or cost of solid titanium scales. The titanium slab is the part that has to flex and hold, so that is where the metal goes. A frame lock uses that handle slab itself as the locking bar, so lockup tightens under pressure rather than loosening.
At 4 inches the blade is long for a folder, and at 5 inches closed the knife fills a hand rather than perching in the fingers. 8Cr13MoV sharpens back quickly on any stone and forgives neglect, which suits a knife meant to be worked rather than kept sharp for display. Explore more Framelock Knives.
