Kershaw Emerson CQC-4K Framelock Tan G10 Folding Knife

The Kershaw Emerson CQC-4K is a collaboration with Ernest Emerson, holds a 3.25-inch black-finished 8Cr14MoV spear point blade with the signature Emerson Wave feature integrated into the spine, fitted to a textured tan G10 front handle.

That Wave feature, a small hook on the back of the blade, catches on a pocket edge during the draw, deploying the knife automatically as it comes out of the pocket without touching the thumb stud at all. The spear point blade shape gives a symmetrical, reinforced tip that stays strong under pressure, well suited to piercing tasks a curved blade handles less cleanly. The knife pairs that textured tan G10 front handle with a black-finished 410 stainless back handle, a durable two-tone combination that also makes the front and back panels easy to tell apart by feel. A frame lock secures the blade with the rigid, play-free lockup machined-metal locking bars are known for.
