Description
The Roper Double Action has satin 1065 carbon steel clip and spey blades in a coffee brown jigged bone handle with nickel silver bolsters and an inlay shield, closing to 4.13 inches.
Double action means both blades lock rather than resting on spring tension, which is unusual on a traditional two-blade pattern and gives the security of a lockback on each edge. The clip blade takes general cutting while the spey's flat edge and rounded tip handle skinning and scraping without a point to puncture.
1065 carbon steel takes a keener edge than stainless and comes back faster on a stone, developing a patina with use. Coffee brown is a darker tone than the ambers that fill most traditional trays, and jigging gives grip where smooth bone turns slick. Explore more Lockback Knives.
