Description

The Roper Burnt Bone Trapper has satin carbon steel clip and spey blades in a burnt bone handle with stainless bolsters, an inlay shield and a pocket clip, closing to 4.13 inches.

Burnt bone is scorched to darken it unevenly, so the surface reads mottled brown and black rather than a flat dyed color, and no two handles come out with the same pattern of scorching. A pocket clip on a traditional trapper is a modern addition, keeping the knife high in a pocket rather than loose at the bottom.

The clip blade takes general cutting while the spey's flat edge and rounded tip handle skinning and scraping without a point to puncture. Carbon steel takes a keener edge than stainless and develops a patina with use that suits a darkened handle. Explore more Trapper Knives.

  • Burnt bone scorched unevenly, different on every knife
  • Pocket clip, uncommon on a traditional trapper
  • Clip and spey blades in carbon steel
  • Stainless bolsters, 4.13 inches closed
