The Ronstan Ball Bearing Swiveling Cam Cleat Base is built for mainsheet systems that need a cam cleat arm with low-friction rotation, adjustable height, and controlled travel. The arm height can be adjusted to suit the preferred cleating angle, which is useful when the base is installed on different cockpit or deck layouts. Twin ball-bearing races support the arm so it rotates with less friction than a plain pivot. An adjustable ratchet system also keeps the arm from simply dropping to leeward when the boat heels or the sheet goes slack.

Rotation is limited to 260 degrees as supplied, helping keep the cleat from swinging into unwanted areas of the cockpit. The molded stop can be removed when a full 360-degree range is preferred for the installation.
