Description

The ProMariner TruePower Plus 1200W is a modified sine wave inverter with a 30A transfer switch, GFCI outlets, USB and an LCD message center.

Built-in GFCI outlets matter more on an inverter than most people expect, because inverter output is a real AC source with a real shock hazard. On a boat, where everything is damp and often bonded to the water, ground fault protection on the outlets themselves is the right place for it rather than relying on something downstream.

Twelve hundred watts is the smallest of the modified sine wave TruePower models, for moderate tool and appliance loads. Modified sine wave is fine for resistive loads but wrong for sensitive electronics, which need the pure sine version instead.

The internal 30A transfer switch supplies incoming shore or generator AC to connected loads automatically when available. Soft-start filtered technology and double-rated surge capability handle startup demand, with a dual-color LCD showing AC output and battery input, a separate On/Off remote on a nine-foot cable, DC cable covers and AC strain reliefs. Explore more power inverters.

  • GFCI outlets built into the inverter itself
  • Inverter output is a real shock hazard on a damp boat
  • 1200W, the smallest modified sine TruePower
  • Sensitive electronics need the pure sine version
