Powerwinch 712A 12V Electric Trailer Winch

The Powerwinch 712A 12V Electric Trailer Winch is a 12-volt electric winch with smooth power-in and free-wheel-out action. The 912 and 712 have long, solid reputations among boat owners. You can power the boat in from the remote, then free-wheel the line back out by hand when you launch.

Powerwinch suggests the 712 for boats up to 23 ft and 7,500 lb. It has a 2,400 lb vertical lift on a single line, or 4,300 lb of pulling capacity on a double line. It is rated for pulling a boat onto a trailer only and should never be used as a hoist.

A pulley block is included for double-line setups, where you run the line through a block at the bow eye to double the pulling power. That slows retrieval speed by half, but it helps on steep ramps or with heavier boats. A standard 60-amp wiring harness is included, and our other trailer winches include manual and electric options for smaller boats.
