Performance Metals Bravo 3 Prop Retrofit Anode Kit

The Performance Metals Bravo 3 Prop Anode Retrofit Kit adds a propeller anode to older Bravo 3 outdrives from 2003 and earlier. Those drives didn't come with one, and the retrofit adds corrosion protection right at the props. It's a worthwhile upgrade on an older drive kept in the water.

Performance Metals makes its Navalloy aluminum anodes to military specification MIL-DTL-24779, and they work in salt, brackish and fresh water. An anode is a sacrificial metal that corrodes in place of your drive, propeller and other underwater metal. Aluminum anodes protect in salt, brackish and fresh water, and they deliver more protection per pound than zinc.

The kit includes the prop anode, a replacement brass nut, mounting hardware and installation instructions. Clean the mounting surface to bare metal before installing so the anode makes good electrical contact. Other kits and individual anodes are in our marine anodes section.
