Performance Metals Aluminum Divers Plate Anode

The Performance Metals Divers Anode is an aluminum plate anode that replaces the Diver's Dream DP-1 and similar diver's plates. It's commonly bonded to a vessel's underwater metals to add protection. The flat profile mounts to the hull below the waterline.

Performance Metals makes its Navalloy aluminum anodes to military specification MIL-DTL-24779, and they work in salt, brackish and fresh water. Each one has Performance Metals' patented red spot wear indicator, which shows at a glance when it's time for a replacement. Aluminum anodes protect in salt, brackish and fresh water, and they deliver more protection per pound than zinc.

Stick with one anode metal on a given drive or hull instead of mixing zinc and aluminum. Replace anodes when they're about half consumed, and never paint them, because paint stops them from working.
