Description
The Pacer 6/3 AWG Triplex Cable is a 50-foot length with black, green and white conductors in one jacket.
Six gauge triplex is a heavy AC feed, sized for a 50 amp shore connection or a generator run to a distribution panel. Fifty feet is typically enough for that run on a recreational boat, and buying it whole avoids a splice in a main AC feed, which is best avoided entirely.
Black, green and white keeps hot, neutral and grounding conductors together as one cable that installs and traces as a unit. Pulling three separate 6 AWG conductors means clipping three and hoping the next person can tell which green belongs to which circuit.
Finely stranded tinned copper gives corrosion resistance and the flexibility to route through enclosed spaces at this gauge. PVC insulation and jacket resist moisture and fatigue, and the extrusion process reduces voids where moisture could otherwise collect and travel. Explore more duplex and triplex cable.
- 6 gauge triplex for a 50 amp or generator feed
- 50 feet usually covers that run whole
- Splices in a main AC feed are best avoided
- Three separate conductors leave the next person guessing
