Description

The Ontario RAT I has a 3.5-inch satin D2 tool steel blade, a coyote brown nylon handle, a thumb stud, a lanyard hole and a pocket clip, closing to 5 inches.

This is the D2 version of the RAT I where the standard model runs AUS-8. D2 holds a working edge considerably longer, at the cost of needing to be dried after it gets wet since it is only semi-stainless. For anyone who sharpens rarely and works in dry conditions, that is the upgrade worth paying for.

Coyote brown is a military color, a flat tan-brown adopted because it disappears against dirt and dry vegetation better than olive drab or black. Nylon keeps the weight down on a 5-inch frame and grips without the aggressive checkering that wears a pocket. Explore more Tactical Linerlocks.
