The Ontario Map Light Series is an all-metal folder with nothing on it to fail, a 3.5-inch stainless blade in a brown stainless handle, closing to 4.5 inches and opened by thumb pull.
Ontario has supplied knives to the US military since the 1940s, and the Map Light belongs to that plain, functional lineage: an all-metal folder with nothing on it that could fail. A stainless handle gives the knife a solid, one-piece feel that scaled folders cannot match, and moisture does not affect it where wood or bone would eventually suffer.
