The Norton Combination 6 Inch India Bench Stone measures 1 in x 2 in x 6 in and gives both coarse and fine sharpening surfaces in one bench stone. Norton uses its India Alundum aluminum-oxide formulation for this model, giving the stone a controlled cutting action suited to routine knife and tool sharpening.

Compared with Norton's Crystolon formulation, the India stone is built to cut somewhat more slowly while producing a finer finished edge. The 6 in working length gives a stable surface for repeated bench strokes, while the dual-grit construction keeps both sharpening stages on the same stone. It is made in Mexico.
