Newmar CCX-T Waterproof Thru-Dex Fitting

The Newmar CCX-T Thru-Dex is a waterproof deck fitting with a neoprene seal pre-drilled and slit from the opening to the outside edge.

The slit lets a cable with its connector already fitted pass through without cutting anything. Coax and plotter cables arrive with molded plugs, and a closed gland means removing the connector and refitting one on the far side of the deck.

Removal later works the same way, since the cable comes back out through the slit rather than needing the run unwired. That matters when equipment gets serviced or replaced, which on electronics happens more often than the deck fitting was expected to allow for.

The nylon housing compresses the neoprene seal around the cable to form a watertight penetration. The CCX-R is the equivalent fitting in the same range, and the DX-3 is the undrilled version for cables of unknown size or several at once. Explore more cable seals and glands.
