Newmar CCX-R Waterproof Thru-Dex Fitting

The Newmar CCX-R Thru-Dex is a waterproof deck fitting whose neoprene seal is pre-drilled and slit to the edge for one cable.

The slit to the edge is what allows a pre-terminated cable to pass without removing its connector. That is the recurring problem with deck glands: a coax or a plotter cable arrives with a molded plug, and a closed seal means cutting it off and refitting a connector afterward.

It also simplifies removal later, since the cable can come back out through the same slit. A closed gland means unwiring the run to service the equipment at either end.

The nylon housing compresses the neoprene seal around the cable to make the penetration watertight. This version is pre-drilled for a single cable, where the DX-3 is supplied undrilled for one or several. Explore more cable seals and glands.
