Description

The Marinco 157AY Y Adapter is a 30A 125V splitter, taking one locking dockside connection to two boat-side connections, with a five-year warranty.

Both sides carry the same 30 amp rating, so this distributes a connection rather than converting one. The single dockside source still governs everything downstream. Two boat inlets fed from one 30 amp pedestal share that 30 amps between them. Running heavy loads on both simultaneously trips the pedestal rather than drawing 60.

That makes it right where the connector arrangement is the problem and the combined onboard load is modest, and wrong where the boat actually needs more current. For that a second pedestal connection or a 50 amp service is the answer, not a splitter.

A male locking connector takes the marina receptacle, and two female connectors serve matching vessel inlets or cordsets. Both female connectors use the sealing collar system, with covers fitted for wet dockside use, and the integrated Y body keeps both branches in one assembly. Explore more shore power adapters.

  • 30A in, two 30A connections out
  • Both boat circuits share the same 30 amps
  • Heavy loads on both will trip the pedestal
  • Five-year warranty, rated for wet locations
