Magpul MBUS Gen 2 FDE Picatinny Front Sight

The Magpul MBUS Gen 2 Front Sight in Flat Dark Earth is the second-generation MBUS front in a tan color for FDE rifles and handguards. It is made of color-molded polymer, so the color goes all the way through and does not wear off like paint. It clamps to Picatinny or STANAG 4694 rails. It weighs about 1.2 ounces. It is a well-proven design that many shooters still prefer for its simple A2-style post.

The Gen 2 front is 2.6 inches long folded and 1.5 inches long deployed. Because it uses a standard A2 post, any A2-compatible post can be swapped in if you want a different profile. The protective wings around the post help keep it from being bent. Elevation clicks are about 1.6 MOA on a carbine sight radius.

Set the elevation with the included tool after zeroing your rear sight for windage. For tool-less elevation, the newer MBUS 3 front is the upgrade. The FDE color matches FDE MBUS rear sights and Magpul furniture. Check that the front of your rail has space clear of lights and lasers before mounting.
