Magpul DAKA Takeout FDE 3.5L Storage Kit Bag

The Magpul DAKA Takeout in FDE is the smaller 3.5-liter Takeout kit bag in a tan color. The FDE color is easy to find inside a dark pack or vehicle. It is shaped like a takeout box, wider at the top, so it is easy to load. It measures about 7.75 by 4 by 6.25 inches and holds 3.5 liters. The full-length 11.5-inch zipper opens the entire top. Magpul uses the same welded construction on the larger 8.88-liter Takeout.

The two quick-release buckles are the key feature. Clipped together, they form handles, and released, they let the top open wider for loading. One strap can be unclipped and wrapped around a tree limb, boat rail, or truck rack to hang the bag. Because the bag stands on its own, it stays open on a table or tailgate while you work. With the buckles clipped, the top stays narrow so small items do not spill out.

On a boat, it keeps keys, sunscreen, and a phone in one place, and the welded seams keep spray out better than a sewn pouch. At camp, it holds a stove kit, lighter, and utensils. The 550 paracord zipper pull is easy to grab with wet hands. Like the rest of the DAKA line, it handles rain and splashes but is not made to be submerged. Its surface sheds water and has a grippy texture that keeps it from sliding on a deck. Anglers keep terminal tackle, pliers, and line in it so everything stays together on the boat. Rinse it with fresh water after a day on salt water. See more camp storage in our camp accessories.
