The Maglite XL50 Tactical is a 4.75 inch black machined aluminum flashlight giving 200 lumens with a 224 meter beam, on three AAA cells.
Two hundred and twenty-four meters from 200 lumens is the number worth noting. Peak beam intensity of 12,533 candela means the light throws far further than its lumen figure suggests, because the reflector concentrates it tightly. Lumens measure total output and candela measure how much of it goes in one direction, and for reaching across a field the second number matters more.
