Description
The Lewmar Pro-Fish 1000 is a 12V horizontal windlass kit designed for anglers who need fast, controlled anchor deployment over wrecks, ledges, and other precise fishing locations. Its automatic freefall system drops the anchor without requiring direct access to the windlass, making it suitable for bow or stern anchoring. The 316 stainless steel construction provides corrosion resistance for exposed above-deck installation.
A 700W motor delivers up to 1,000 lb of maximum pulling power with a 250 lb maximum working load. The windlass handles 5/16 in G4 or BBB chain and 5/8 in three-strand or 8-plait rope, including leaded line up to 5/8 in diameter. A revised control arm and Pro-Guard plate help keep rope from jumping out of the windlass or snagging during operation, while manual emergency recovery can be performed with a common 1/2 in socket wrench.
