The Lee's 30-Degree SS Swivel Rod Holder, Small Bent Butts uses a 30° swivel-base rod-holder configuration with a 2 in OD x 6-1/2 in tube. The short 6-1/2 in tube is configured for stand-up rods with curved or small bent butts. The swivel base allows the rod butt to rotate in the holder when side pressure is applied at the rod tip, a design intended primarily for stand-up rods with curved butts.

As the swivel turns, the rod tip can follow the direction of the load instead of remaining fixed against a rigid pin. The holder can also function with straight-butt rods, which can be rotated manually to keep the line aligned with the roller tip.
