A nitrogen gas actuator holds the trim plate down during acceleration, providing lift at the stern until water pressure exceeds the actuator's load rating, at which point the tabs rise to horizontal and drag disappears automatically. A simple lever switches the plates between two jobs: in the down position, they drop to create equal braking on both sides for straight tracking at ultra-low trolling speeds, without restricting the propeller the way other trolling brake systems can. Flip the lever up and you're back to fully automatic trim tab performance. Installation requires only a drill, a 3/16-inch bit, and a Phillips screwdriver, with no through-hull drilling and all mounting hardware, instructions, and templates included.
