Description

The Klaken Virex has a 3.54-inch D2 tanto blade in satin and black with a wine G10 handle and a liner lock.

Wine is the darkest color in the Virex range, closer to burgundy than red, and it reads muted where a bright red would announce itself. Against the two-tone blade, which sets a satin flat against a blackened grind, the effect is a knife that stays quiet rather than showing off its finish.

The tanto puts a reinforced corner where a curved belly would run, concentrating force at the front for piercing at the cost of a sweeping slice. D2 holds a working edge far longer than budget stainless, and it needs to be dried after it gets wet since it is only semi-stainless. Explore more Modern EDC Linerlocks.
