Jabsco Par-Max 3 24V 3-GPM 40-PSI Water Pump

The Jabsco Par-Max 3 24V Water Pump (part 31395-4024-3A) gives 24-volt boats a small freshwater pump rated at about 3 gallons per minute with a 40 psi shutoff. It is sized for a simple system with a galley tap and a head sink. Jabsco also uses the Par-Max 3 as the rinse pump on raw water versions of its 24V electric toilets.

The pump's pressure switch starts it when a tap opens and stops it once the line reaches pressure. Its diaphragm self-primes, so it can be mounted above the tank where it stays dry. The compact body fits under a berth or in a small locker where a larger pump will not go.

A strainer between the tank and the pump keeps sediment out of the valves and adds years to pump life. An accumulator tank on the outlet reduces short cycling when someone is just filling a glass. Check the boat's system voltage before ordering, since a 12V version is also made. The 12V version and HD pumps are in our fresh water and washdown pumps.
