Jabsco 1-Inch Anti-Siphon Vented Loop Fitting

The Jabsco 1-Inch Anti-Siphon Vented Loop (part 29015-0020) does the same job as the larger loop on smaller lines, such as the hose that feeds rinse water into a marine toilet bowl. On a manual or electric toilet installed below the waterline, the intake side can siphon seawater into the bowl and slowly flood it if nothing breaks the flow. Placing this loop at the top of the hose run stops that by letting air in once the pump stops.

Raw-water intake lines on many heads are smaller than the discharge, so a dedicated smaller loop keeps the bore matched to the hose instead of forcing adapters into the run. Smaller fittings also tuck into tight cabinet spaces behind a head more easily. Keep the loop high and route the hose with a smooth climb and fall so water does not sit in low spots.

If the toilet bowl ever fills on its own while the boat sits at the dock, a blocked vent is one of the first things to inspect. Clean the valve with warm water, and never paint over it or cover it with insulation. Confirm the hose size on your toilet before ordering, since some models use 3/4-inch intake hose.
