Description

The Icom intrinsically safe speaker microphone is built for the M85UL, an Icom handheld rated for use in hazardous locations, and the mic itself carries the same intrinsically safe approval.

It uses a 14-pin waterproof connector and is rated to handle the wet conditions typical of the industrial and marine environments where an IS-rated radio sees duty.

For anyone running an M85UL where hazardous-location certification actually matters, pairing it with a non-IS-rated mic would undercut the radio's rating, which is the reason this accessory exists as its own SKU rather than a generic speaker mic. Browse more communication accessories.

  • Intrinsically safe approved for hazardous locations
  • 14-pin waterproof connector
  • Built specifically for the IC-M85UL
  • Matches the radio's hazardous-location certification
