The Icom HM159LA is a large speaker microphone built for Icom's 2-pin LA-type screw connector radios, stepping up from the compact HM158LA with a bigger 45mm speaker for louder, clearer audio.

The larger housing is also shaped to fit the hand more naturally during extended use, which some users prefer over the smaller HM158LA for radios that stay in hand rather than clipped to a strap.
