The Icom IC-M510 EVO is a multifunctional, stylish VHF marine transceiver with innovative smartphone operation technology. Its built-in Class D DSC provides essential maritime communication for safety on the water, while integrated NMEA 2000 connectivity and two-way hailer/RX hailer functions enhance the experience even more. Note: an AIS receiver is not included in the M510 EVO.

The NMEA 2000 network provides plug-and-play data communication to interconnect with other marine equipment like an MFD, sending GNSS position, AIS information, DSC call, and radio channel data. Connected to the optional SP-37 speaker horn, users can talk with crew on deck or shore through the radio's microphone and hear replies through the horn speaker, while the RX hailer function lets you listen to radio traffic or sound foghorn patterns from the hailer speaker. The RS-M500 app for iOS/Android wirelessly controls the IC-M510 EVO through WLAN, letting up to three smart devices act as a wireless microphone, intercom, or remote control. Winner of the iF Design Award 2022, the radio's wide-viewing-angle color TFT LCD offers nearly 180 degrees of visibility with a night mode screen, and the "DISTRESS" button can digitally transmit distress information to the Coast Guard or other vessels in an emergency.
