Description

The Icom earphone and throat mic headset gives an M72, M88, or GM1600 handheld user a hands-free, low-profile alternative to a speaker microphone.

The throat mic picks up speech through vocal vibration rather than a standard air microphone, which keeps wind and background boat noise out of the transmission in a way an open mic can't match.

It requires the VS1 adapter along with the OPC2004, OPC2006, or OPC1392 cable to connect to the radio, so it's meant for an operator who already runs a VOX or PTT accessory setup rather than a plug-and-go install. See what else we carry in communication accessories.

  • Throat mic and earphone headset for hands-free use
  • Works with the Icom M72, M88, and GM1600
  • Throat pickup cuts wind and background noise
  • Requires VS1 adapter with OPC2004, OPC2006, or OPC1392 cable
