Hornady RAPiD Safe 4800KP XXL RFID Pistol Vault

Hornady RAPiD Safe 4800KP XXL RFID Pistol Vault provides quick electronic access to a storage area sized for two 1911-size pistols or one large revolver. RFID entry can be activated by the included watchband tag, key fob, or decals, and the safe can be programmed for as many as five RFID tags. A separate keypad accepts a four- to six-digit security code, while barrel keys provide a mechanical backup.

The outer housing is built from 14-gauge steel and uses two hardened internal locking lugs. Hornady states that the 4800KP exceeds ASTM standards covering child resistance, pry resistance, lock strength, drop, pick, saw, and high-attack testing. AC power and battery capability keep the electronic access system available in more than one power configuration.

With exterior dimensions of roughly 10.5 x 12 x 2.9 inches, the 4800KP is a compact vault rather than a full-size safe. It is aimed at users who want RFID access without giving up keypad and key alternatives, while still having room for a second handgun.
