Hornady Pistol Rotor and Metering Assembly

Hornady Pistol Rotor and Metering Assembly converts a compatible Lock-N-Load powder measure for the smaller charge weights commonly used in handgun loading. Hornady gives the pistol rotor a reduced metering chamber compared with the standard rifle setup. The assembly is intended for charge weights from 0.5 to 17 grains.

Installing the pistol rotor lets the same Lock-N-Load powder-measure body cover a lower charge range without asking the larger rifle rotor to meter very small volumes. The included standard pistol metering insert provides the adjustable chamber used to set the desired powder volume. It is an accessory for the powder measure rather than a complete stand-alone dispensing unit.

This assembly is useful for a reloader who already owns the Lock-N-Load Powder Measure and wants to move between rifle and pistol charge ranges using the proper rotor. Powder charges should still be confirmed on a separate scale whenever the insert is adjusted or a component of the load is changed.
