The Hella Marine NaviLED PRO Starboard Navigation Lamp is a 3NM lamp in a white shroud, rated for vessels over 50 meters.
Interference suppression is engineered into every Hella Marine product, both emitting and receiving, to international standards. That matters more than it sounds on a navigation lamp. A poorly suppressed LED driver puts noise across the VHF and AIS bands, and a masthead or bow position puts it close to the antennas.
Three nautical miles is the requirement for vessels over 50 meters, so the rating follows the vessel rather than preference. Fitting a lamp rated below the requirement is a compliance failure that surfaces at inspection or after an incident.
