The Hella Marine NaviLED Starboard Navigation Lamp is a 2NM lamp in a black shroud, from the standard NaviLED line.
Two nautical miles is the requirement for smaller vessels, and it is the rating most recreational boats need. Fitting a 3NM lamp on a boat requiring 2NM is not wrong but costs more than necessary, while fitting 2NM where 3NM is required is a compliance failure.
This is the standard NaviLED line rather than NaviLED PRO, which is the heavier-duty range built for commercial and military service. For a recreational boat the standard line is the appropriate specification, and the PRO version exists for vessels that work harder than most owners' boats ever will.
