GROCO APHS-3000 Size 3 Stainless Replacement Screen

For an APHS-3000 Size 3 hull scoop strainer, the correct perforated insert is GROCO part 93-3000-03. The defining feature is its 0.188-inch screen perforation diameter, which is more open than the 0.125-inch Size 2 alternative. It is a screen-only service part, not a replacement strainer body or complete access-door assembly.

GROCO identifies the 93-3000-03 in the APHS-3000-3 parts breakdown and offers it as a field-replaceable stainless-steel screen. The 304 stainless insert is designed to remain in the hull scoop while allowing the corresponding perforation pattern to filter incoming water. Because the screen hole size changes the straining characteristics, use the exact specified replacement rather than ordering solely by exterior strainer appearance.

Check the existing assembly designation before opening or disassembling the scoop. Once the water supply is safely isolated, remove accumulated debris and examine the seating surfaces while replacing the screen. Confirm the access door is secured and the system is checked for leaks before returning the intake to operation. Browse more marine plumbing fittings and strainer parts at CritPro.
