GROCO APHS-3000 Size 1 Stainless Replacement Screen

The GROCO 93-3000-01 is a stainless replacement screen for the APHS-3000 strainer. This Size 1 version uses .077-inch perforations, allowing the owner to restore the intended screening element without replacing the complete strainer assembly. It is useful when the original screen is bent, damaged, corroded, or too fouled to return to dependable service. Choosing the correct screen size preserves the filtration characteristics expected from the existing APHS-3000 installation.

The stainless construction is suited to repeated immersion, removal, and cleaning in a marine intake system. The perforated surface traps larger material while letting water continue through the housing to downstream equipment. Replacing only the worn screen also avoids disturbing the strainer body and connected plumbing when those parts remain in good condition. Because the screen is a service item, periodic inspection can reveal dents or blocked openings before they become a flow problem.

Shut down and isolate the intake before removing the APHS-3000 screen, then clean the housing before the new 93-3000-01 is installed. Make sure the replacement screen seats evenly and that the strainer closes without pinching or deforming it. After reopening the line, confirm normal flow and inspect the housing for leaks before the connected equipment is run under load.
