GROCO APHS-3000 Size 2 Stainless Replacement Screen

The GROCO 93-3000-02 replacement screen restores the filtering insert in an APHS-3000 Size 2 hull scoop strainer. This is the 0.125-inch perforation version, intended for an existing assembly that uses the finer of the two sizes compared here. Replacing the screen can be preferable to removing the entire thru-hull scoop when the housing and access door remain serviceable.

GROCO lists this part as item 1 in the APHS-3000-2 assembly and identifies the screen material as 304 stainless steel. The perforation diameter is the key distinction from screen 93-3000-03, which uses larger 0.188-inch holes. Verify the strainer model and the old screen's hole pattern before assuming the two options are interchangeable.

Service the strainer with the water intake safely isolated and the access door opened according to the vessel's maintenance procedure. Clean away trapped material, then inspect how the replacement screen seats in the housing before restoring the system. Order by part number 93-3000-02 when the specified Size 2 perforation pattern is required. Browse more marine plumbing fittings and strainer parts at CritPro.
