In an emergency, close the seacock and remove the quick-release plug while the engine runs, letting the engine's raw water pump send excess bilge water overboard. For winterization, close the seacock, remove the plug, and insert the included service adaptor to pump anti-freeze into the cooling system; for system flushing, use dockside water the same way with the engine idling.
