The Gatco Extra Coarse Sharpening Hone measures 8.5 in overall and uses an 80-grit extra-coarse surface mounted to a black ABS handle. It is designed for plain-edge blades and fits Gatco sharpening systems 10003, 10004, 10005, and 10006.

The 80-grit surface gives the compatible guided system an aggressive first stage for heavier edge correction before the user moves to medium or fine hones.
