The Fred Perrin La Griffe has a 1.5-inch black stonewashed 440C blade at 4.75 inches overall, a black G10 handle over a full tang, a finger ring, a lanyard hole and a black Kydex sheath.

The finger ring is the whole design. A finger passes through the loop so the knife cannot be pulled, twisted or knocked out of the hand, and the shape has a following among people who train with it. Fred Perrin is a French maker and former soldier, and La Griffe, meaning the claw, is the design he is best known for.
