Description

The Flytanium BEEF has a 3.5-inch black PVD coated D2 tool steel drop point blade, a red G10 handle, a thumb stud, a lanyard hole and a pocket clip, closing to 4.75 inches on a crossbar lock.

A crossbar lock is a spring-loaded bar that drops across the blade tang, pulled back from either side, so the knife works the same in either hand and closes without fingers crossing the blade path. D2 holds a working edge far longer than the budget stainless usual at this price, and it needs to be dried after it gets wet since it is only semi-stainless.

PVD is vapor-deposited and bonded into the steel surface rather than painted on, so it resists wear better than a coating that sits on top. Red G10 takes color through the material rather than on the surface, and at 4.75 inches closed the BEEF fills a hand properly. Explore more Folding Knives.
