The Fireboy-Xintex Single Channel Gasoline Fume Detector alarms on detection without blower control, in a 2-3/16 inch black bezel.

Two things separate the four single-channel detectors in this line, and both matter more than they look. This is the black bezel without blower control. The chrome version of the same unit differs only in finish, while the blower-control models add an automatic relay that starts the bilge blower on detection.

Without that relay the detector alarms and nothing else happens, which suits an installation where the blower runs on its own timer or manual control. Where the boat sits unattended, the blower-control version does more, since an alarm sounding to an empty marina achieves nothing.

Both audible and visual alarms fire the moment gasoline fumes reach the lower explosive level, with the horn at 68 dB.
